The Green Tour is a guided day tour combining the natural and historical highlights of southern Cappadocia. It is named largely after the lush Ihlara Valley.
What you will see
A typical Green Tour starts with the Göreme panorama and Pigeon Valley. Next comes the Derinkuyu or Kaymaklı Underground City, reaching several levels below ground. The highlight is the Ihlara Valley walk along the Melendiz stream, usually ending with a break in Belisırma village. The tour continues to Selime Monastery, a huge structure carved into the rock.
About the programme
Which underground city is visited and the order of stops may vary by operator. The walk is of moderate difficulty, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Our offer states lunch, entrance fees and transfer details.

The Ihlara Valley walk is usually moderate, with stairs down into the valley. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

It is a full-day tour and can take slightly longer than the Red Tour because of the distances between stops. Your offer states the exact times.
Tours usually walk the roughly 3–4 km stretch between Ihlara and Belisırma.
Some passages are low and narrow; anyone uncomfortable in tight spaces can stay on the upper levels. It stays cool even in summer, so bring a light layer.
Most packages include lunch by the stream in Belisırma, with drinks usually charged separately.
